Palm V (os v.3.0) accurate stylus entry

I am having problems with the stylus taping accuracy. I constantly need to recreate the “welcome” system utility to set the stylus taping correctly. After syncronicing, I am loosing that setting. This means that when tapping on an app, the activatedone is the upper or lower one.
If anyboydy went through this problem I would very much appreciate some help. Thanks a lot.
