Parallel Port Settings

I’ve got a Canon Canoscan FB630P which works great under win98. However once upgrading to Win2000 I need to chance the Bios configuration for the parallel port to EPP from ECP. My Mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-7ZX. I’ve changed the settings but now theport will not function at all under Win2k. I’ve checked this by setting up a printer to it and going through all available settings. The printer works fine through STD & ECP but dead on EPP. also I’ve tested this out on another Mainboard and all is fine. I can only assume there is a bug with EPP on the Gigabyte GA-7ZX mainboard. My question is … Are there any ways of getting around this (without upgrading my Scanner to USB), Are there any known patches for the BIOS? Thanx in advance.
