Pavilion 8660C locks up

Pavilion 8660C seems to lock up sooner with a dozen Outlook Express E-mail messages or more in the box(es). If the user dosen’t have any mail, dosen’t check it or just has a couple of messages – the locking up dosen’t seem to happen often.
Ideas?
