PC cant connect to domain

The error I received was “Can’t connect to domain. Either because the domain controller was down or unavailable or because your account or password was not found. Please try again later.” Now this PC was connecting getting email and other various network services. I checked the ip address after all this and couldn’t ping the server, but the loopback test was ok. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m pretty confused. I don’t want to reinstall the software…
