A 1 yr old HP monitor suddenly went “bad”. On booting up my HP133 the monitor started flashing it’s indicator light amber. No screen image. Calling a tech support, they recommended a new monitor. Bought one on sale, KDS, plugged in and worked fine. Problem solved? No way. 1 month later, same reaction. I brought the new monitor over to a tech person and had it evaluated. Fried! Sent it back to the company and they replaced it for free. (Good Company support) Meanwhile, back at the ranch: a very old monitor was in place while waiting for the new replacement. 1 week later, same flashing amber light, no screen image. The video is embedded in the MB and uses system RAM. I tried disabling it and installing new video card without success. I have the new monitor and am leary of installing it until I find the culprit. (Now using another old monitor and have not had further problems) Suggestions?
