PC Troubleshooting–Compaq

All I did was attempt to swap hard drives in a Compaq Dekspro 2000. I unplugged the power cable and the IDE cables and reconnected them successfully. Now when I boot the PC, I keep getting an error:
1790–Disk error.
Can someone help me?
