I’ve received a donated computer for our school – Packard Bell, 486DX with a 4.1 Matsushita – CR – 563-x CD-ROM drive. I reformatted the hard drive, put on DOS 6.2 & WIN 3.1, but when I went to use the D drive to install a program, the PC wouldn’t recognize the D drive. The only way it will recognize the D drive is if I use the Multi-media CD10 Restore Diskette that came with the PC. However, when using this disk, it will only recognize the Multi-media CD, which I don’t want to install. Are there specific files that I can copy to the C drive so that the PC will recognize it?
Any help would be appreciated.
