PCMCIA in DOS

I service a school site which has just purchased 2 IBM laptop mobile labs with wireless connection. Unfortunately, the laptops do not have physical network adaptors. I need to make an image with Symantec’s Ghost software, but, because of the lack ofCD-RW or physical network adaptor, I have nowhere to store the image. I have purchased a 2 GB pcmcia hard drive, hoping that I could use that as the target drive to save the image on, but have not yet been able to get it to initialize in DOS (where Ghost runs). Anyone with tips on how I would be able to get this drive to initialize in DOS?
