peer to peer network, no connect. shown

I am setting up peer to peer home network. 2 computers on LinkSys hub. Network selections on both computers same. Computer ‘A’ cannot see network. Computer ‘B’ can see ‘A’s shared equipment and can print to ‘A’s printer. ‘A’ cannot see network. Swapped NIC’s, cables, reloaded drivers, NIC from Device Manager. Hub shows connection of 2 computers (lights show connection). Any suggestions on how to get computer ‘A’ to see network from network neighborhood? Have not reloaded Win98 SE yet. Have run SFC to check for bad Win98 files.
