Phantom Floppy Drive

I have a PC which displays floppy drives A and B
The A drive does not exist and I have been unable to remove this phantom device (or the Icon for it) from my system. I have attempted to do this from Device Manager and BIOS but the device does not appear on the relevant setup screen.
