One of our offices has a webserver that we normally can access through our internet browsers simply by typing in the ip address. All of a sudden we no longer can access this webserver unless we ping the ip address first. Once we ping the address then the browser is able to access the server. Although, even after pinging the address, the connection will not hold throughout the day. We are using a checkpoint firewall on both sides and recently consolidated the management of the firewalls in our office. Also, when we do a tracert everything looks fine. Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what I should be looking at to identify and correct the problem. Thank you in advance. My e-mail address is bob.panos@midstates.org.
