Port com2, excl mark in device manager?

Pc has a sportser voice 33.6 PNP fax internal modem. While trying to establish a new internet connection, I am prompted to install a modem. Device manager shows an exclamation next to Port com2. Also says device has been disabled in the hardware. Code 29
Any suggestions?
