Power Supply Issues

My building is older and does not have three hole outlets. My guess is they are not grounded period. I need to set up a workstation and was wondering if I use one of those adapters that converts 3 prong to 2, will cause any problems to the equipment due to not having a ground. Since the building is older I’m not sure how well the building is wired.
