Printer Problems

I have a clone pc with an HP DJ932c printer installed locally that recently developed a problem.
When the pc is powered on in the a.m. it will not print until the whole system is restarted. The print jobs just sit in the print que until the pc is restarted. It doesn’t matter if the printer is powered off at night or not.
I tried booting to a command prompt and printing from there and it was fine. Also re-installed printer drivers (both from cd and from recent download from HP).
Printer worked fine until recently, not sure what has changed.
I’m stumped!
