Printer will not print envelopes

We have an HP Deskjet 890C on a Windows 98 OS, and Office 2000. When the user is in Word and tries to print an envelope, the return address will print, but not the address to send it to. I have tried to print it to an envelope and to a plain pieceof paper and I get the same thing on either media. I have reloaded Word and the printer driver, but neither has helped. Anyone have any ideas?
