Printing problem

by hewood . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

We have 2 Windows 2000 Pro workstations and a Windows NT 4.0 Server to our left. The server has an HP 1000C printer shared off its lpt1 port. We installed the NT driver for the printer on the 2000 Pro machines(HP does not have a 2000 driver for this printer) and they talk to the printer however, more times than not, the print is white – washed in the center. The ends of the print have full color but the focus of the aerial is in the center of the paper, generally. We thought that putting service pack 6 on the server would help, but it did not. Is there a work around that you can suggest? Other than, buying a networkable color printer that does 11×17.
