Printing problem in Windows NT Server

I am Network Administrator in Nirma Institute of Technology. Our server has windows NT o.s. One printer is attached with this server. Now, when I am giving print command, it is giving message that “Network Name was not found. Error writing to LPT1 ”
I have reinstall the drviers also. in control panel it is showing that parallel port device is started. If I boot the server in PC-DOS Mode then it can print. But it can not print in GUI Mode.
