Pro Comm Plus Dial-Up Software

I work in the healthcare field and have installed this software on Windows 98 PC not a network. Has anyone else had any problems using this software with Windows 98? I can’t get it to connect. After installing the software it made a mess out of mydisplay and changed many Windows functions within other software such as Microsoft Office. I uninstalled the software and still have traces left help?????
