problem for Disk Defragmenter

I have Windows 98’s second edition operating system, on my 8 number of pc’s.In which 4 pc’s are not Disk Defragment.when I want to do Disk Defragment,pc’s are hang & after that I must press CTRL+ALT+DEL for restart.
please give me the solution.
