Problem with communication from computer

Hello, my problem is my computer got shut down by accident with windows 98 up and my panasonic kx-p1124i printer open. The only thing that seems that happened was my printer keeps saying their is a time out error. I went and thought I’d increased mytimeout settings but so far it keeps saying the same thing. And it won’t print my document. I’d appreciate all the help you can give me. I hope to hear from you soon.
