qbasic won’t print for me

by rbwillba . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

I am running qbasic as a part of a programming class I am taking. I have a Canon BJC-6000 printer on LPT1, which is my default printer, and is configured to spool input from DOS based programs. Every time I run a script containing an LPRINT command, though, I get a warning that the program has performed an illegal operation and it shuts down. I tried re-installing my printer, but nothing changed. What’s going on?
