quick launch toolbar

after upgrading IE4 Sp1 40bit to IE5.5 128bit, I lost my quick launch toolbar. I noticed on several of my computers that is the case with all the IE upgrades to 128bit. Anyone knows how to tweak the quick launch toolbar? Don’t want to degrade all the computers to 40bit for this purpose.
