Ram Problems

I have a PenII 233mhz computer with 2 4mb and 2 8mb simms installed. I recently acquired 2 32mb simms but when I installed them, the computer won’t boot up. The book on the motherboard says it will accept BEDO, EDO and Fast Page Mode simms up to 384mb’s. Why can’t I get these simms to work? The motherboard is a T16NFK/KP6. Is there a setting I should change in the system setup?
