reboot/reboot-bah- processor ugrgade ?

playing some on-line games;added some more memory on this 5yr old acer aspire that seemed to help,still locking up and half displaying my pages…shouldn’t be so slow..can only find mention of pentium processor-not a 1/2/3-should I upgrade that to smoothe & speed things up?which one if so…
