Removal of GOHIP

User has inherited a PC which has GOHIP installed and when running IE 5.5 GOHIP takes over and refuses to be removed. Even reloaded IE but this invideous GOHIP still returns with info on porn sites etc.Bar reformatting PC how do I get rid of this?
