Reset monitor to factory settings?

Is there a way to reset a monitor to its default factory settings (this is not related to Windows display properties!)? A user decided to tweak the monitor settings and then asked me to undo the damage. 30 minutes later, I got the monitor back to a usable, but not optimal, condition. Pincushion and trapezoid still seem out of whack. I would like to reset and start from scratch if possible.
