resizing desktop

i am using mandrake 7.0 , when i go to my kde
gui, i cannot see the bottom of my screen, on setup utilities there is no scroll bar, so there is no way for me to see the bottom of my screen. i have played around with results of totaly screwwing my screen ( it looks like a vga screan in windows runnng in svga) please let me know of a way so i can see my whole screen.
