I have this Q 7598 in my shop. The customer was having all kinds of script errors coming up. They also wanted to clean out all the running items. And the sound card was not working. I cleaned the system up and it seems to be running better. I also removed items from the start menu and in regedit run keys. I want to reload the drivers for the sound card that is down on the MB. In Device Manager under the sound properties it says “the ntkern.vxd, mmdevldr.vxd device loader(s) for this devicecould not load the device drivers(code2) to fix this update the drivers.
I wanted to use the Q restore disk. When I puit the disk in and reboot, it goes pass the Q logo then it says Q restore on a blue screen and then goes black. It does not let merun the restore.
