scanners

I have a scsi umax astra 1200 scanner with a Pentium III 667HZ system with Windows 98
I use Photoshop 5.0 to scan and render graphics and for some reason, has suddenly stopped the scanning. It will preview fine, the test scanner is fine. There doesn’t seem to be a conflict in my system hardware. I really need some advice. I have websites to do and can’t scan. HELP!!!
