scripts to edit Win 95 registry over LAN

Has anyone ever used a third party software to write a script which would edit the windows registry over a LAN? I have information of KIXtart95 and ActivePerl software, but they do not specifically address the issue. I would like a script to run when the user logs on to remove items which are no longer needed or used on the local computer.
