Shutting down pc with win2000 profession

I am running an amd 600MHZ computer it is using windows 2000 professional as the OP. I am having difficulty shutting it down, it is an ATX and should shut down auto. It did for awhile but now it is not doing that. It may be missing DLL’s, how canI replace them.
