Sound skip…..continued

Hello!

I had a previous post regarding sound skipping problems I was having with my new computer while running games. The skips and pops seemed to be in timing with my HD activity LED. No fix for that problem yet, but now I find a single pop every 10-12 seconds outside of games. It would seem to be an over-all hardware problem. I have a P4 machine with 256MB RAM. All current drivers and WinXP OS (just upgraded from ME hoping it would fix) Please help as this is very annoying because I know there has to be a fix! Thanks.
