I have asked this question on other sites and I have stressed that I am a novice, however, the answers have always been confusing. So….here goes:
I am an entry-level PC support/helpdesk tech. I really know very little about the inner workings of my p.c. Without going over the story again, the bottom line is: I want to wipe out everything from my hard drive. I have the start up CD that came with my computer.
I have a second hard drive, which I had installed. It is much larger then the one that came with the p.c. If I re-install win 98 on my c drive, can I also install it on my second hard drive so that I can install on top of it, my windows 2000 professional upgrade. This way I will have win 98 on one hard drive and win 2000 on the other.
I have no idea how to partition a hard drive.
Can you send documented steps, if possible with screen shots on how to re-format both hard drive, how to partition the hard drives and how to set-up win 2000 upgrade on my second hard drive (which also has to be blown away.
If it would be easier to mail this to me please do so. My address is 2841 E. Lincoln Ave. #110, Anaheim, CA 92806
