startnet

I’ve run across a couple of networks lately that use a batchfile (net use)that appears after posting when a workstation is booting.I’ve never seen this method of capturing net resources like this. when i first encontered it i was baffled, then someone told me it was an microsoft implementation of an old netware command.does anyone know about this utility and can you fill me in?
