still no solution

I am getting a MMSYSTEM002A device ID has ben used that is out of range for your system. Since getting this it says windows cannot play sound scheme wav files. File may be damaged or invalid file. Replace them and try again. I have tried everything that I have been told but still no help. I also found under acessories- system info-multimedia-audio codecs- that my wave audio device’s status is disabled. I am told that my problem has to do with this. How do I enable it to see it that will work? Any help at all will be appreciated.
