Suspend to disk file missing!!

I’ve got a laptop which on startup states “The amount of system memory has changed or the suspend-to-disk file is absent. Refer to suspend-to-disk in the online users guide.”

Well, the online users guide says squat, windows bombed so bad we had to format and reinstall, the bios has been reverted back to factory defaults, I can’t seem to get into the mbr, plus I’m going insane!!

I’m out of options – why in the hell would the system memory have changed – why is it making everything bomb?? HHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!!!!
