Sybase Anywhere 6.0.2 Database

While attempting to set up the Sybase Anywhere Server as a Network Server, I received “Database Connection Failed. DBRC=-1 SQLSTATE = 08001…Unable to connect to database server; database engine is not running.” The Adaptive Sercer Anywhere window is running, showing the “Database server start time…”. Why do I receive the above error?
