To XP or not to XP…that is the Q!

Im not really asking a qeustion, just kinda getting a consensus of how the techies out thier feel about putting ol’ 98 and ME to pasture.(My 1st posting…hehe).I have been doing quite well with it myself,in fact,I am more than impressed with the XP OS as being quite powerful, stable, and fun at the same time, since I am also a pretty hardcore Gamer.Been thinking about the frustrations that previos MS os’s have put me and my tech dept. through and have been ecstatic about finally getting an NT Kernel with DirectX and 3d support.Guess Im turning into a XP advocate, even though I had huge doubts about it,since Everyone made a big deal about “authenticating” and not looking at the overall picture of what was to come. Can honestly say that,I am engulfed into XP…tweaking it,installing & reinstalling over and over to get a feel for the bugs, which are more of drivers issues than anything.I am actually having fun being a tech AND a gamer and pushing it to the limits when it comes to learning and Ill take Microsofts petty “Authentication” key in exchange for an Operating system that is superior to all previous products and is an absolute blast to mess with.I hear a LOT of people whining like little babies about Microsoft, yet we have not been given much of an alternative(yes…theres Linux and such, but Windows,Microsoft, and Bill Gates deserve the crown) ) that could really have let me enjoy the hell out of being a Computer Networker/Techie/and Gamer all in one.Just my 2 cents, since I am glad to put the ol’ 98 BSOD’s and Lockups and Instability to full rest.RIP 98SE and ME,XP is now my home.
