unabable to reinstall after Klez

I used Norton SystemWorks. Despite that, Klez escaped quarantine. I have used the repair tool and verified with three different virus programs that the virus is gone from my computer. However, even using Symantec’s instructions, I cannot reinstall and use NSW, Act, and MSN. I am still getting error messages. Will reformating the disk be of help?
