Unknown Files

Recently recovered from a Hard Drvie crash. While checking the Win95 dir found a large -over 100 – number of files with 0 bytes and file name like ===> fffe9dc7_{1786E700-9703-11D4-B6D0-40EE09C10000}.tmp
What are these files? Where are they from? Can I delete them?
Running Win 95 with MSIE 5.5 Outlook Express 5 on a Cyrix 166. Thanks
