Updating from Window 95 to 98

Recently I updated my operating system from Win95 to Win 98. I have a SCUSI card which was recognized by Windows 95. Now that I have done the update to Win98 it keeps saying that the adapter card I have is USB and wants to set up the USB card and a USB Root Hub. Is it possible the I need updated software for the adaptec SCUSI card? Any suggestions would be helpful.
