USB can’t run under WIN 2000 (error 10)

I tried to install integrated USB adapter under WIN 2000 Prof. but in Device manager I’m getting always the message “Device can not run – error 10)” with yellow “!” on the USB icon. I enabled USB under BIOS, even tried with the PCI PNP USB adapter but with the same result. Somebody can help me?
