I am having some strange electrical/computer problems and wondered if anyone might have heard of anything similar.
I keep getting electrical shocks when touching USB ports (and/or anything connected to the USB ports). This is apparently not a “hardware” problem, since the same thing occurs with my Micron desktop, my Sony notebook, my HP printer, and my Rio MP3 player (all have USB ports).
Electrician couldn’t find anything wrong (but he didn’t really look that hard–visual inspection only, no meters or instruments used).
Do you have any ideas about or experience with this? The house is 20+ years old, so not really wired for the computer age (to put it mildly.)
Another possible factor is that the humidity in my house is hovering between 31-33 %–whole-house humidifier doesn’t work very well.
