USB support in Windows 2000?

I have recently upgraded from NT 4.0 Client to Win 2000 Professional and cannot get USB ports to work. Have tried deleting/re-installing drivers and upgrading bios to no avail. I have not found this to have been reported so far on Microsoft’s site. Does anyone have any ideas on solving this problem?
