video adapter

Compaq deskpro: no OS install yet.
Having problem to see the screen everytime I boot. I only can see the screeen one time after I switched the video adapter that work on another machine. I tried another monitor and getting the same problem. Power supply is ok. I unplug CD-rom, Floppy drive, and hard drive. It still has problem.
