video cables for monitors

I would like to convert a monitor that has the video cable permanetly attached at the monitor but i neeed to make it fit a 15 pin video port i have already cut the 9 pin plug off now i need to know what wire to put to which pin to make it a 15 pin. the colours od the cable i am using consist of blue, yellow, black, red, orange, purple, green with a braiding over all.
