Video Quirks

by gemailhiot . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

Computer is Pentium 133Mhz, 32 MB RAM, running Windows 98.
Video is Trio64V+ PCI – onboard.
On original monitor, when opening multiple windows, previous window’s icons and text remain visible, making the new windows illegible.
On other monitor, windows display properly with white background, but some icons are black. Open the Control Panel, for instance, and all icons are nlack although their caption is legible.
Same results after re-installing Windows 98.

Is it a monitor or a video adapter problem or both?

Any idea or suggestion to determine the real culprit?

BTW, the monitors used are dating back to 1994-1996.

thanks
