Views on Upgrading or Buying…

So, we want a better computer for the family, and specifically for us gamerz that use up lots of RAM. This is the problem…

Our current computer has…

Pentium II MMX – 233 mHZ
PC-100 64MB RAM (supposed to be 96MB but it doesn’t recognize the most recent upgrade)
7.2 GB Hard Driver
1 – 4MB Video driver (not sure about the RAM)

We mostly want to upgrade the video driver to a nVIDIA 32MB GEFORCE 2 MX or better, look into 256MB RAM (if it can handle it), 20 – 40GB hard drive and a burner. I’m no expert, but i think all this current equipment would not run as well on the current processor and motherboard than on a new one.

If we had to upgrade the processor and motherboard, it would probably be better to just buy a whole new system.

Your thoughts are extremely welcome 🙂

Steve
