I am somewhat confused about virus removal. I was told that if an HDD is so infected that the system is hardly operational that you can remove the HDD, install it in to another PC with current Antivirus software on the C:, and scan the infected drive, from the C: drive. After repairs, just reinstall the fixed drive back in to the original PC? Someone else told me that you can just boot the infected system with anti virus software in the boot device A:, CD-ROM, etc.. and that as part of the antivirus installation process the software would start detecting and repairing/isolating any infections it found while booting up? Please direct me to a web site or written manual that truely addresses recoverying PC’s that are infected with a virus. Some people, heaven forbid, don’t have anti virus software installed! Thanks!
