VoIP – Is it worth the trouble

I run a cyber shop that has a cisco 2600 router and compaq proliant 5500 server that runs on win2k, well I heard that with these two gizmos and a few others I can provide a VoIP solution, is it true. I also have a fibre optics connection to a 64k ISP access.
